Yeah it is sad news.
I currently don't have any preorders left with Gaemstop. Of course this year I made the effort to cut back and one area was preorders. I recently got my last batch of preorders from Gamestop and now I have nothing with them. I even cancelled my preorders with Hasbro Pulse because they weren't sold out and I will wait and see. Now all I have left is a couple of Walmart exclusives which I guess with how Walmart operates now I can't cancel anyway.
After seeing prices and what has gone on clearance, especially in the US, I feel like it isn't worth paying full price anymore. Except in those rare occasions where it is something I really want, or is an exclusive. Even then I am waiting more than not waiting.
Overall I think Gamestop is still a good option, in fact probably better than most, but it isn't what is was even just last year.
