If I has to choose, I'd likely restrict to the Season 1 cast ahead of Season 2...so Wheeljack, Prowl, Bluestreak etc.

Thats true with the MP 11. I balked on that one and may pick it up later at TFcon this year but I had the MP 10 and got rid of it for the lack of diecast on him. I got the nemesis version to just have the mold in my collection.

Ah, the lack of poseability with the diecast is why I don't even display the mp-01 mold anymore, just feels like an oversized titanium figure to me, the diecast in the feet of the new prime is enough for me

Ya, thats the plan I'm going with. Get them as come out instead of taking chances. Waiting never seems to turn out well.

The money should be good in time for the next three. Plus it gives me an reason to pare down the collection to a slightly more controllable state. And with the other three of them in 2014 it gives me a nice time frame.

I have most of the MPs (minus some repaints) up till Sideswipe. After I passed on him and Wheeljack got announced I was like "Yep made the wrong decision, time to get back on track and get the preorders going". Don't want to miss any more at this point. Plus if they do get Jazz done I'd be kicking myself for missing everything in between.

I'm hoping at the con I can make it happen. I'm going to order the G2 Sideswipe as well just in case though.

For the Datsun brothers, it was a tough call for me. I was only planning on getting one and it came down to Prowl due to character. I honestly could take or leave 'Streak as a character but I just love his colour scheme.

So when I found both for preorder on a Japanese site for around the same price as one at a US e-tailer, I had to go for both. And now I have Smokescreen on preorder as well, although I haven't decided if I'll end keeping him.

I'm not a completist by any means, so I'm mostly ok with picking and choosing from the MP line but I do have a good list of MP figures I hope end up getting done.

^^This is true for me too. I don't have to have them all but when a new character comes along I can't resist. I just seem to end up liking them all. That's why the kicking myself for Sides. The only one I'm skeptical about is Bee, probably because its just Bee, but I'm willing to be surprised, albeit at a lower price point hopefully.

How much was Sunstorm going for when first released? He's the one previous MP I didn't get right away that I might be interested in picking up one day. Are the Igear seekers any good (ie, is the price lower but still a good figure)?

igear seekers are modded kos of the mp3 mold, which personally i dislike immensely, sunstorm was around $200 on release
