The year was 1986, and my Pop dished out some money for a yellow and red Transformers I wanted... but Hot Rod was MIA in Quebec, so he got me my first Transformer. Also yellow and red, 1985 Blaster (Closed Door Type).

Movie Deluxe Brawl. Nothing special about it really. I saw the 07 movie, and then started getting into TF's. So yes, I'm a very new collector. I'm at 50 something figures right now. But hey, at least I have some older figures that aren't just in the Movie, Animated, and Universe line, like Reissue G1 Ultra Magnus, G1 Jazz, and a KO Devestator that's actually some what decent.

G1 Bumblebee (still have it) when I was young. I stopped collecting for a few years after that. The toy which started it all again is BW Cybershark (regular one).

My first TF was a G1 Grimlock that my Dad picked up for me at a garage sale for a only quarter (it was 1992 I believe).
And yes, I did bring him to TFCon and got him signed by Gregg Berger.

First would have been Cheetor. Although technically, it was my brother's. But he watched BW so often that he got me hooked, and eventually he'd be coming back home from a shopping trip with my mother and holding a figure that I liked, but he didn't.

it was a g1 sunstreaker for.. I was in the hospital with a badly broken arm, and the kid in the bed next to me (with dog bite injury) had gotten jazz from his parents.. he let me play with it, and my parents got me sunstreaker while i was in there..
freakin awesome..
two decads + later, id say movie optimus got me back in
