yup glad zipper sanwich bags and the big tupperware containers. i know its not tupperware. but drawing a blank at the moment on the name of them.. the big bins. popular brand. but even the cheapy walmart versions work.

personally all my G1s are in one of my old military barracks boxes lol.

i usually go to loonie stores and clean them out of all different sizes of ziplocks.(i can tell that the cashier thinks i'm growing weed or something just from the looks i get.those looks get even funnier when i tell them it's for my transformers collection)to store them i use the stackable clear/frosted tubs from walmart that are like 6-8 bucks each.put a label on the front(g1,g2,beastwars,etc)and it should be good to go and easy to find bots later.the only draw back is that once you enter double digits with these tubs they start eating up alot of room.(its also a total p.i.t.a. when you need a certain tub that always seems to be at the bottom of the whole stack)

Yup, dollar store ziplock bags are great. As for those big rubbermade containers (or other brand) just go for whatever is biggest/cheapest. I know Zellers had a buy one get one 1/2 off sale on their storage stuff last week or so. Compare prices and keep your eyes out for a sale.

Re: How do you store your collection if it is too big for your room ?

I've been storing my collection in large and even small rubbermaid bins for years, at one point the accessories were kept with the figures, that was back before I had so many G1 figures. Nowadays I've taken to using the ziplock bag method for storing accessories.

All of the Transformers are kept in their bins by series, so I've got G1/G2/MW together, BW, BM, Armada, Energon, Cybertron, Universe, Classics/Universe 2.0 (what few figures I have from that line.), RID, The Moive and Animated share a bin at the moment due to space issues. Althogh my Movie toys have been on display for weeks now close to two months so yeah.

It also helps to keep them all in one safe place, I store them in the basement in a large pile, and they're always in the exact same place so that when I do rotate the display by series I'll always know which one is where and who goes in what. (Considering half of them are just marked as Transformers and all have the same color bin it helps to be a little anal when it comes to keeping them in the right place.)

It can be a hassle to get at the figures you want when you want them, but then again I'm used to it. I've never had more than one room to myself in any house, the bedroom, so I can't exactly keep everything on display. I've got enough problems with remembering to dust the damn shelves every once in a while.

Re: How do you store your collection if it is too big for your room ?

I have over 1500 of them, and as I live in a one bedroom apt it's a bit hard to have them all out so, the majority of my collection is kept in a storage locker with my other things that don't fit in the apt. I only have the newest toys and such here.

Wish I had a good answer for ya but I just keep squeezing them in, adding shelves as needed and moving a wall or two when needed...
