how can I pre-register last minute?

edit: new question: is a post-mark of Saturday the 31st sufficient for the deadline, even though mail pickup isn't until Monday?
do you guys take cash, or only money orders?
do you take a hand-written form, or does it have to be printed?

problem is it's the last day and I forgot that I had to do it today. I remembered yesterday.
I could maybe catch the last mail pick-up, but only if you guys take cash and a hand-written form.

there's no mail pickup on Saturday, is there? like at the main processing station maybe?
edit: there isn't, but 7-11's will "post-mark" mail for the day you drop it off.

I second this; stupid me, I forgot all about it. Can I still request the form and just mail it Monday to pre-register (or is it too late)?

Re: how can I pre-register last minute?

I don't expect an extention.
It was my own fault I didn't make preparations and plans to get this done on time. I knew about it, so I had the opportunity. (not that ignorance is a sufficient excuse either)
I'm late, I procrastinate, I forget things, and I should pay the price. Maybe it would help motivate me if I didn't get away with it as often as I do.

Well, mail pickup was 5pm. I'm still trying to find out if they pick-up mail at the main processing office any later and/or on Saturdays.
Banks are closed. Postal money orders are $5. If there's a free poster, is it normally a poster that costs $10? If so, at least I could justify the money order fee as a $5 poster instead of a $10 one. (which would only be worth it if I can get the mail out before Monday)

Re: how can I pre-register last minute?

Alright. Through exhaustive research (heh), I have discovered that bringing a letter to the 7-11 post office on a Saturday (the official post offices are closed, but 7-11 is open 7 to 11) they will "post mark" it for that day, even though it doesn't get picked up until Monday.

Is a post-mark of May 31st sufficient for the deadline?

I did find bank branches open on Saturday, but my mom's not too happy about having to drive downtown to work to print the form, then past home in the opposite direction for the bank, when if I had asked her yesterday she could have done both while at work.
I may just ask for the print-out and pay for a postal money order.

As long as you mail it tomorrow there won't be an issue.
Thanks.

Alright. Thank you.
Saved by the bell! or... a technicality. (unless normally it does need to be mailed on Friday)

Re: how can I pre-register last minute?

BTW, uh... I hope you don't mind that my form isn't an exact copy... I tried to duplicate it by hand, but it took me an hour and a half just to measure out the scale, draw the frame, the logo at the top, and quickly write out the text fields. all the relevant info was there. I mean, the logo and top line specify exactly what it is:
Quote:
TFcon
Toronto
2008 Preregistration form
and then I put in the field names:
Quote:
Name: __________
Mailing Address: _________
City: _______ Province/State: ___ Postal/Zip Code: _____
Phone: _________
and yeah, I filled in the fields as well as including the labels before them.

It's just... obviously hand-written. :S

I'm gonna enter it in the art contest, because I worked so damned hard on that logo at the top. I think you'll like it. I almost went for extra points by shading it correctly.

You would have won 1st place, but you're disqualified for swearing.

Did Ultra-Magnus's failure teach you nothing??

Yes, that Ultra Magnus being torn to shreds is not the darkest hour of the cybertronian race.
