They didn't get their info from FP directly, when they posted the news on TFW. Whats to say they didn't even secure a number from FP for Henkei version? Kapow stated on their own the wide release thing. As far as anyone knows, this could end up being a limited run too.

What smells rotten? The fact that they sound like other whiners that weren't very happy when Powered Commander became an exclusive?

Its an Exclusive - not everyone was meant to have it, wasn't supposed to be mass produced.
But it just seems that it was always in the works.....

Found an old post from another website back in August that looks like the HEnkei Prime version

This is messed the more I dig the more I find evidence that a Diaclone coloured PC was in the works long before it became a TFcon exclusive...

Man, I feel stupid for getting sucked into the hype of the TFcon exclusive...

I'm done with this, I'm going back to my Masterpieces and BT/Alternitys

Anyone want to buy all my Fansproject stuff??

I just learned some info about this situation, and now I feel really bad for the slack FP is getting. I'm going to wait until they say something. But looks like if your going to do anything for TF fans in mind, be prepared to be tarred and feathered.

These pics were from a Fansproject party where they hand painted a Powered Commander which they brought to TFcon 2008. At the time it was just a display piece for their table, and they had no plans to ever release one.

These are just pics of the previous figure (note the lack of paint apps on both from the final product) attached to a Henkei convoy without chrome. Again at the time Powered Commander was never going to be released.

It's funny that you'd "dig" for all of this stuff AFTER spending your cash.

I believe what you've dug out is a City Commander set painted up like a Powered Convoy that they did to bring to TFCon '08...don't quote me on it but read the threads you've posted links to...lol...Apparently it was never to be produced so TFCon shouldn't have even gotten it as an exclusive.

Yeah I saw/read that it looked like a "one-off" or a sample.
It didn't look painted but very well could be - just sayin the idea was there.

I also wanted to see what pictures would come up for PC colour since google caches web pages and images. And even if the links aren't available thru the website but they'll still exist on the servers.

I just find the "TFcon Version" written on the product promo looked weird at first and everyone asked about it and now the "Japanese version" is rumored to be coming out.

I'm not saying anything else about the subject. I'm going to wait to see what happens and whats said about this just like everyone else.

Sorry, but I have to correct you. You have the links posted out of order. The first one is from early October 2008. It was actually the first public look at Shadow Commander. City Commander had just been released, and the event was CC release party for fans to pickup their products. Second link is from FansProject's TFCon 2008 posting on their website. They uploaded those photos after first revealing the testshot at TFCon '08. Previously, only a couple insiders had seen the testshot before they brought it to TFCon.
