Re: Reissues Vs. Original

I like all of them to be honest but when it comes to displaying them I have a separate area for reissues. They only mix when I am using a reissue as a place holder until I can find a suitable vintage to swap out.

Absolutely. So glad I got that version.

You make a great point. But I don't think I'm the only person out there that doesn't necessarily mark a distinction. I like the overall look of my TF collection to look as close to G1 cartoon as possible. So sometimes a reissue is the right choice, but sometimes a KO, 3rd party, or classic series is the right choice too.

There's no wrong way to collect if you enjoy.

I did, however, stray from the original topic. Sowwy!

^it's cool, wasn't trying to get on your case, i have my classics/mp collection for newer stuff, and agreed, it does look much more accurate, i just put it in a different area because i'm hoping to complete g1

Re: Reissues Vs. Original

Like others have said, unless you are a purist, it really does not matter.

I would take a minty fresh reissue/KO over a busted up old original any day of the week. As long as it looks like the toy I am wanting, I am good.
