Re: Reissue Vs. Original
Definitely have no issue with people choosing one way or another...
From my perspective my "core G1" collection is complete and is a mix of vintage, reissue and 1 KO (Reflector). Some of them were Hasbro reissues and had strange 'safety' weapons so those got 'upgraded' to minty vintage. Now, admittedly, I'm slowing looking around for vintage and may eventually, slowly, complete a G1 vintage collection--whilst keeping the reissues for play.
This is an expensive way to go, and with all the cool stuff going on I am only going to jump at good opportunities (recently I got a mint, complete vintage Thundercracker from a friend) and otherwise the reissues serve me nicely. :-)

Ah haha.
Yeah, to go even more in-depth, I prefer Takara reissues over Hasbro ones. At least they don't butcher the projectile missiles.

Re: Reissue Vs. Original
I prefer the re-issue if it's available for the figure. And it has to be Takara-made. I like things brand new.
I do buy vintage though, but only if there has been no re-issued release.

Re: Reissue Vs. Original
In addendum to my earlier post, The ONLY reissues I do like are the Takara releases of Japanese only figs! like all the micro combiners, Star Convoy (for you Ian), Stepper etc.... Basically all the ones that are impossible to find over here in the first place let alone now that they are vintage!
