He was (is?) plentiful at TRU, didn't anyone who really wanted him already get him?

However, anyone who only kind of wanted him, and was waiting for a sale? hohoho

It's the same scenario, imo, as TRU's ebbing days with Earthrise on the shelves
I used to see plenty of ER wave 3 deluxe on TRU shelves, even after Kingdom started sharing the shelf space - and TRU never ever EVER put those deluxes on sale - no clearance, nothing, just full price all the way out

It's like they were bullheadedly confident "nah, we can still make bank on these"

Yes this is their new moto and way of business. Instead of going to clearance they put a sticker telling you this is your last chance. Maybe that works for them, I don't know

Or they'll end up like Toys,Toys,Toys (aka Play Time Toys), and sit on product for 5 years, or longer. Hoping that we'll come around and say "hey look what I found on the shelves that you can't find anymore."


Then just like TTT they'll have to shut down some locations and rebrand the rest of the chain.
