Re: The Masterpiece Appreciation and Speculation Thread

I wonder if they will go with the CD Toon accurate smooth fur or try to sculpt the fur?

I think the old CG smoothness added somthing to the character, never liked the plastic fur detail the toy used.

Other than Einstein ( Who thinks it's FUGLY ) what are your opinions ?

I like it so far. But here's a radical thought: what if the animal parts had actual fur?

RE: Optimus Primal, instead of an MP, I wish they would have added it to the Generations line instead, as we have Rhinox, Rat Trap and Waspinator.
I doubt this MP is in scale with the Generations line...

Some kitbashers tried it and the results were kinda creepy. The figures ended up looking more like dismembered dead rats than anything.

Re: The Masterpiece Appreciation and Speculation Thread

WOW MP Primal just WOW. I am not going for a real looking animal when I am looking at BW figures I am looking for what looks the closest to the CGI that is possible and this is just WOW, I have not been this excited for an MP in a very long time I think the last ones that hyped me this much were Starsaber and Ultra Magnus. I am excited for the other just not hyped up like I feel with this one.

Re: The Masterpiece Appreciation and Speculation Thread

Is this Primal supposed to be in scale with the rest of the masterpiece line? If it is, how big should he be? Especially in beast mode...

Good question, but I haven't seen a size comparison yet.

He should be a new scale, as he isn't much taller than a human.

Which if scaled to the current MP's not much bigger than Spike

Based on costs I might guess as big as MP Ironhide but if he was the same as MP10 I wouldn't complain. But if they did them all they migh start getting to big. So I will stick with Ironhide size

Re: The Masterpiece Appreciation and Speculation Thread

so he might sit in the just a little taller than Generations Rhinox. I would be happy with that any smaller and I would want the price to be a little cheaper
