Question: pricing for a G1 Ratbat and Slugfest

Hi all, I am not a vintage collector, but I'm trading with someone (not here) who happens to have G1 Ratbat and G1 Slugfest available. I thought I might be able to add them to my MP Soundwave when he arrives (are they even going to be of comparable size?)

Anyways, not being a vintage follower, I have no idea on a fair value to put on the figures, and ebay is of no help there either. I also don't know yet what condition/completeness they are. So, let's assume 2 scenarios for now:
1) loose figures in decent condition but missing weapons, and
2) loose figures complete with weapons

Anybody have any pricing/valuation on something like that? Thanks!

Re: Question: pricing for a G1 Ratbat and Slugfest

You might want to consider getting the Encore Cassette reissue 4 pack that includes Slugfest, Ratbat, Steeljaw and Ramhorn.

I think it's called "Great Cassette Operation Vol. 2"

You should be able to get the whole box of all four cassettes for around $50 if my memory serves me correctly.

Thanks guys! I love how many people are on this forum, and the fast responses! I think I will pass then and look into that 4 pack. Anyone know if they are in similar scale to the new MP ones? Even just to have displayed in robot form.

The Cassette Operation Vol 3 (Encore #19) is the one that still goes for $50-$60 each. The Vol 2 still goes for $80 to $100. We have one available for $90 MISB.

The average size of the MP Cassettes are, at this time, slated to be a little larger than the G1 Cassettes, but currently cassettes like Ratbat, Slugfest, Overkill, and Squalkbox are not in consideration to be released in an MP form, so G1 equivalents are your best option. Please feel free to PM us if you are interested in the #17 set, or any other G1 cassettes.

Maybe I should get them sooner than later, in case they become suddenly in more demand...

I paid $25 for my Slugfest a couple years ago with his weapons and tech spec if I remember correctly.
