Parking Ticket

Last week my neighbor was moving out from his house, as a good gesture i offer my driveway for him to use, since he already park his car in my driveway and stuffs are everywhere, i live in a townhouse so we have a common driveway. so i parked my car in the visitors parking area, about 9 PM i checked to see if his stuff were all gone. they were actually all gone, but i dont know what got into me, i was too lazy to park my car back in my garage, so i left my car in the visitors parking area. by the time i was leaving for work in the morning, i found a paper in front of the wind shield, i knew im gonna get a ticket, but was so pissed because i helped my neighbor in return i got a ticket! at this moment when i was about to pay it on line, the Plate Number that was recorded was misspelled by one letter, they put "F" instead of an "E".......i tried googling the incident and found funny reactions on diferent post....but my question is ....will i get in trouble for not paying the Parking violation? will the court hunt me for this? they have the vehicle make and style on the ticket they issued me but when i checked it on line they only have the ticket number (which is correct) and the License Plate which is one letter wrong......

Re: Parking Ticket

Technically you don't have to pay it...they wrote down the wrong information on the ticket...that's how murderers get away with crap...technicalities.

Re: Parking Ticket

Yep he's right, your scott free. We once got a ticket and because they spelled Erin(not Aaron) on the ticket the judge tore it up and told the officer to do better work. That was a great day.

I would have loved to see that!

as for your issue dude, like everyone else has said, since the cop took down the wrong information, you do have a counter-argument if it comes to it.

Re: Parking Ticket

Incorrect plates means if they ever need to mail you anything and try to look up the plates in the system, might not be you they find.

I say forget it.

Re: Parking Ticket

I have an outstanding speeding ticket in Georgia that the officer wrote the wrong driver's licence number on. I actually meant to pay it, but it slipped my mind. It's been 5 years, and despite being pulled over twice here Ontario since, it's never come back up.

I'm just extra careful every time I drive down to Florida.
