Hasbro Fort Max vs Takara Fort Max
Are there any comparison reviews for the Hasbro Titans Return Fortress Maximus vs the Takara release available? Trying to figure out which one, if either, I would be interested in.

Re: Hasbro Fort Max vs Takara Fort Max
Not sure if side by side comparisons exist but after looking into it myself I decided to go with Takara. To me it looks way better, there are a lot of differences.

Think I'm going to change my mind and get this. He'll go with the RiD 2001 figures

Re: Hasbro Fort Max vs Takara Fort Max
Why the Hurry? You see the first mass retail version now, then you'll see the blink SDCC version, and finally Takara will do something to top both Hasbro versions.
If you just want the mass retail Hasbro version, it will surely go on sales. Or there's good chance Costco will have it.
Just wait and see.

Re: Hasbro Fort Max vs Takara Fort Max
For the paint scheme, I would choose Takara this time. But Fort Max as a whole? I would skip the Titans Return release and look for Encore 23. His lack of play ability compared to the G1 toy is truly a disappointment. I might have forgiven the crappy base mode this time around if he had more weapons. But sadly, both his hand-held guns are absent, as well as the 2 red cannons that swing out from his sides, the Master Sword, etc.

Re: Hasbro Fort Max vs Takara Fort Max
They both look good to me but overall I'm going Titans Return on this.
Ideally I think Titans Return head with the Legends LG31 face, TR upper torso, Legends lower torso, Legends upper arm, TR lower arm and finally TR legs would look great. And I will give the Legion LG31 credit for having the Autobot symbol on the lower torso colored in.

Re: Hasbro Fort Max vs Takara Fort Max
He actually has more playability than the g1 version, he's more articulated and so is cerebros, toy world's infinitor has more playability than the g1 fortress maximus too (with the exception of only having 1 headmaster). TR fort maxs battle station is almost the exact same configuration and the fan city mode is pretty Damn close to the g1 city. The takara Version is likely to come with the master swords and hopefully a gun of some kind too.
I've already paid for my takara one, love the paint apps that make him look way more G1 cartoon ad toy accurate than hasbros and I'll be grabbing the Hasbro one when it's on sale most likely.
