Green Stuff
Epoxy putty (Both at hobby or Games workshop)
Or Sculpting/modeling clay , oven bake or Air Dry ( At Micheals)

Random question regarding a mod I plan on doing.. but does anyone know how big Beast Hunter's Riplclaw's head balljoint is? Is it as fat as Lazerbacks? or small like the other deluxes..?

Same size as deluxe heads, it is smaller than the shoulder balljoint on Ripclaw.
Just undo the screw on the back of the head comes of real easy.
Don't have lazer to compare though

Re: Customizing Q&A Thread
Anyone use Vallejo "Metal Medium"? I am thinking of switching from Tamiyas to Vallejo as I only handbrush. I have created a swatch on a piece of paper brushing a bit of Tamiya down then applying the Metal Medium over it.
Anyone else using this? Or general impression of Vallejo in general?

I've read about other customizers/model makers using Vallejo, didn't see any complaints about it, most raved about it.
If you don't like tamiyas, try Game Workshop or citadel too

Re: Customizing Q&A Thread
I've actually been playing around and using RID Optimus Prime's sword as a guinea pig. I can even mix the metal medium with Tamiya and it looks good.

Re: Customizing Q&A Thread
I have a question on disassembling. I am trying to repaint the FOC Grimlock. The screws are really easy to be taken of, but I have not idea how to take out the hinges and the metal rods on thejoints, ie the neck in dino mode.
I reallywant to paint the inside of the dino head, so any help/hint is appreciated~

Re: Customizing Q&A Thread
you need a pin point soldering iron, heat the end of the pin, not for long, and pull it out backwards, easier said than done, lol

I recommend practising this on a junker first. I've created some unintentional battle damage (on both myself and the bot) with this technique. When it works, it sure is slick though.
