Ok that explains it, i guess that's also why they charge an extra $3 or $4 vs retail. thanks

IMO, mold degradation is not a big problem, can be fixed with pledge floor polish.

Re: BC Community Thread For Non-Sightings Chat

So I went down to Port Townsend and Seattle to visit my best friend of over 20 years. I brought down my digital comic books for IDWs Transformers stuff to let her read it along with my hardcopy version of Last Stand of the Wreckers.

She's now working her way through MTMTE and RID. She's made her way through to the end of Dark Cybertron.

Hahaha I have corrupted another mind to the IDW comics.

Nice. I almost got my girlfriend to read MTMTE the other day but she got sleepy. One of these days!

http://www.news1130.com/2015/08/06/t...fare-on-buses/

I live and work in Vancouver. If translinks is going to jack up fare price to "fit" this one-zone proposal, I am just going to buy myself a car. Good for people in Surrey or Maple Ridge, bad for people in Vancouver.

I don't think they're raising prices, they just can't think of any other solution for the Compass system's technical failings.

I do think that's the main reason they're doing this - there were numerous reports that the main problem they were having besides card reader response times were that they couldn't get the multiple zones to work with the system correctly.

As for the fare price...I'd imagine that it would be something like an average between the current prices for 1 zone and multiple zones/peak time rates. My guess is probably something like $3.50 or something like that. I'd be pretty surprised if they stuck to the 1 zone fare price. At the same time, if they don't keep the fare low, they might lose more money in the long run. They're already losing some ridership to services like Zipcar.

Maybe they won't. But I still think it's creating more loophole for people to cheat and they will say they are losing money and want price "adjustment".

My time is money too.

Re: BC Community Thread For Non-Sightings Chat

As per this CBC article "http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/britis...ares-1.3181961" you will pay a one zone fare and be able to travel all three zones.

So no, prices for Vancouverites won't go up. Just everywhere else it will be cheaper.

Of course they call it temporary but we'll see how long temporary ends up being.
