$50 is still a good price if it's a good quality KO Micron Reflector, imho.
But you're wise to advise caution. I've been burned a few times by looking at things too quickly (I'm sure we all have).

Can someone please look at their Takara stamp on their Tracks for me? I got a minty one today with no stickers and I'm thinking it might be a Toys 'R Us reissue but I hope not. Mine reads, "HASBRO '80 '84 TAKARA Made In China" on the white part on the bottom. Is this 25 years old?

Made in China for sure is the reissue. The original Tracks 25 yrs ago is made in Japan.

My Tracks reads "HASBRO '80,'84 TAKARA JAPAN". Hope that helps.

why bother? an incomplete whirl in good shape will cost you less than the peroxide and your time, 5 10 bucks, and you're set, the guns are the expensive part

My floor is full of Omega Supreme parts right now, I got 2 tanks taken apart and managed to get them both working great except the little light doesn't do anything in neither one of them. When does it light up? Does it blink? Is it constant? Is it only when he's walking? I try all sorts of different things and don't see any light.
