Re: Anyone else excited for the DLX Terrorcons?

If they added articulation and combined, I would be interested. But since they don't. It's zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz for me. I don't get why they removed the combining ports. I'm not paying $17 for what amounts to what KO do. Upsize legends figures.

Well, to be fair, I won't be paying anything for them, because I won't buy them.

BUT - for Hasbro's target audience (hint: not us), this is a good thing. Toys that they can actually transform, that are robust enough to play with.

I like transformers, and I like transforming transformers, but the amount of time that I have spent on transforming a toy for a small child is phenomenal. I'm talking transforming it just to have him ask me to transform it back. And then back, and then back, and then back. (repeat)

If he had a few toys that he could have transformed all on his own, it would have been more enjoyable for BOTH of us.

I will say that I'm not interested in these at this point in my life, but a good portion of Hasbro's clientele might.

As long as they still make regular deluxes that ones that I want, they can make all of the crappy rescue-bot type stuff that they want.

If it means Hasbro will sell more TFs and have more profits to invest in collector-friendly toys, then my answer is yes.

Re: Anyone else excited for the DLX Terrorcons?

I don't mind the "less complex" transformation, in fact, I can understand why it's a welcome change.

But the lack of articulation for the size class really bothers me. Sinnertwin (or whatever his name is) was a cool cyberverse toy, but looking at him, I wished he was more articulated, particularly the arms and legs. But I know you have to make some compromises for his size and price point.

That said, taking that same mold, scaling him up, but without adding any articulation, is going to make him seem like a really crappy toy. Except this time I can't even use the small size and price point as an excuse.

Re: Anyone else excited for the DLX Terrorcons?

That's kind of my beef too, the lack of added articulation. I get why they are making simplified tf's for kids but upscaling legion figures with the same transformation AND articulation, for the price point, is a horrible idea. I really do like the legion version of the Terrorcons and can probably modify a larger set to combine. However if the upscale versions are just larger versions with no added articulation, then no thanks.

Re: Anyone else excited for the DLX Terrorcons?

Nope. I love legends figures, but I love them for their size. Anything larger and I expect more. You gotta admit Twinstrike and Rippersnapper are pure garbage when you scale them up. Lazy animal heads for hands and whatever the hell was going on with Rippersnappers feet.

Legends good. Deluxe bad.
