Re: Walmart.ca Transformers Sightings and discussion

Corronation Starscream is not exclusive, and CMD probably paid less than the $35 Walmart had it on clearance for. They scalp exclusives, not stuff they can order direct from Hasbro.

As to why they list on Walmart? They list everywhere. Amazon, Best Buy, etc… And from a retailer's perspective, it just makes sense to be where people shop. And since they raise their price to cover the marketplace's cut, they're not losing anything.

But yeah, don't ever buy from them on Walmart. If you have to, use their own site. But if you can, buy from a more ethical seller. CMD isn't the worst *cough* NMC *cough* but they're not the best either.

Its not walmart... but on the CMDstore website they have Motormaster in stock for 134.99 which i think is retail. The shipping is what kills you here though.

They posted that they got it in stock on their FB page.
Shipping is $18.05+tax, which is in-line with Canada Post's rates (for a commander-class TF)

Personally, I'm a patient shopper, I prefer not paying shipping to get a newly released TF all the time (and with inflation at an all-time high). I can wait to get it locally or shipped for free/local pickup options.

But if you gotta have it, you gotta have it... It's called plastic crack for a reason.

Shipping fuel surcharges has increased a lot. Even a small box to AB or BC is minimum $23-25 the past couple months.

Re: Walmart.ca Transformers Sightings and discussion

Finally got around to returning my extra Netflix Kingdom spoiler pack yesterday, gave it to WM Brockville

Do you think they put em out on the shelf? Or just ship back to "online warehouse"? Depends on the store?

Dunno how it goes these days

^ it's older and they have no shelf space for it, so if it isn't returned, it may be destined for a clearance rack with a yellow 50% off sticker.

Re: Walmart.ca Transformers Sightings and discussion

The 7 Velocitron figures are up and pre-orderable on walmart.ca.

Whoever tweeted July 21st @ 7AM EDT on the WM account was off by several hours as I see some other brand items are already sold out (Marvel, Star Wars).
