Somebody returned cw Computron missing $#!t

I haven't bought retail for a long time but when I saw Computron on our Walmarts shelf for 75$ clearance I thought "why ?" then "why not". Then I noticed the double tape at one end. Took it to the front asked if I could check it and low and behold no Scrounge or the minicon. Got them down to 50 bucks and a friend helped me complete it (he wasent attached to his Sceounge). When I asked the CSR what they do with items that are incomplete they said they can send it back to the company and receive 90% of what they paid for it. Although I can't see Walmart investing that kind of time into random items lol

Just lame... and an epic fail to do something like this to scrounge (no pun intended) a few bucks.

That totally sucks and I'm glad you managed to get the best possible outcome in your situation. I wouldn't have bought a box in that condition, since I've been greatly attached to both Computron and Scrounge since I was a kid. Good thing you managed to bargain them down though, since I doubt they would have been very successful in selling that box to most other people.

When I got mine the tape had been opened and didn't notice till I got home. Everything was in it though bur the manager had taken it straight off the truck. Wonder why so many of these are showing up that way?

It could be customs. It's a big box with plenty of room to hide stuff

Though given that Hasbro is a reputable company, business-wise, you would think customs has seen and opened plenty of boxes from them in the past and just let them through nowadays.

Same thing, my store had 2 broken seals and 2 double taped. Was completely fine inside. It's like they forgot something out of the factory and had to open them up to see which ones were missing parts or something
