Re: Ript Apparrel shirts today

So my Ript Constructicon shirt showed up today...

Can't say I'm very impressed with the quality. Are they supposed to be this cheap looking? The colouring on the prints are almost 'pin point' style, where the colour doesn't look solid.

I mean, the shirts are inexpensive...I wasn't expecting something amazing but at least Fruit of the Loom quality.

Can anyone give some advice?....maybe just call customer service, or is it just that Ript shirt prints are just thin?

Re: Ript Apparrel shirts today

I've found that it varies from shirt to shirt, design to design. It's not consistent, depending on the colours they offer, etc. As for the screen printing on the shirt, can't really say without seeing a photo, but if you're talking about this one: http://s100.photobucket.com/user/dec...jvaui.jpg.html

...I think it might be intentional as it's supposed to look retro like it's a worn shirt from the 80's (which also might explain their choice of a thinner shirt material as old 70's and 80's tees were typically thin and fitted).

Re: Ript Apparrel shirts today

I have quite a few Ript t-shirts. Most are good, I've had very little problem with any of them. Unfortunately the one hoodie I purchased is very thin and the zipper does not work well. But the t-shirts are, overall, good.

Yeah I'm not a fan when they print on the super soft shirts as they don't last as long as the regular shirts.

Re: Ript Apparrel shirts today

My dinobot Jurassic shirt was faded when I received it. My other shirts have been quite crisp in terms of the print. Overall, I've been happy. I always buy a size bigger though because I find the shirts shrink quite a bit.

Re: Ript Apparrel shirts today

I'm just not crazy about the pixelation of the faces of the Constructicons. I'm thinking it's 'supposed' to be that way, as the banner for "Appetite for Construction" is solid read. The greens and greys, though, aren't solid. It looks ok from a distance. I'm probably not going to bother with another one, if this is what I can expect. It's a fun shirt, though, and I like the exclusivity aspect of it. I can't seem to find a link to the graphic, though...it's a take on the Guns n Roses first album art, featuring the Constructicons. I couldn't NOT get it

Re: Ript Apparrel shirts today

So this one?

So pixilated or dithering?

Re: Ript Apparrel shirts today

Yep, that's the one. The banner with 'appetite' has solid red in it. It's the greens on Devy and the face inks that look pixelated to me...I'm assuming dithering is where the obvious wrong colours have been used, in the wrong spots? I don't know.

I'm just assuming that this is the best it's gonna get as you generally don't get one colour that's solid and the rest pixelated on one print. I've sent a pic to the guys at Ript and I guess I'll get an answer soon.

Re: Ript Apparrel shirts today

I have the Dinobot one in this style and it's great but I've never really had a problem with any of my ript shirts. Maybe just a printing error, hope they can do something to make it right for you.
