If DHL aren't trying to charge extra "brokerage fees" as they are notorious for, they typically just leave items at the door... sometimes with a text or email notification later saying they delivered it if they have your correct contact details. Never had to sign off on anything with them.
With Intelcom, you'll usually get emails and/or texts when the item is out for delivery, close by, and then delivered. Sometimes they knock when they drop it off, but usually you just get a final email with a picture of the package sitting on your step. I've never had to sign anything from them,
And compared to someone like Amazon who, at least in my experience usually take until the evening to deliver things, I've found that both DHL and Intelcom typically get things delivered way earlier in the day as well. But I'm sure that varies from city to city.
