I like to have a sample from each era of TFs. But my main focus is G1, Classic-verse and MPs.
I've completed what I want from G1.
Classic-verse has been completed and subsequently added to many times as new Classics derived lines keep coming up. Luckily I'm fairly picky and only get figures/characters that suit my tastes. And I keep thinking I'm getting close to completing the characters I'd want. After the Titans Returns line, I think I'll be pretty much done. I hope.
So then it's just MPs after that. And a sampling of whatever comes after RID2015.

Core G1s and their authentic MP counterparts.
Except for Apollyon and Quakewave (until that inevitable day I realize MP-29 doesn't suck and try to offload Quakewave like everyone else).
Although it is more like available MPs dictating what G1 equivalents I collect (MP Jazz where are you?).
MP-31 Delta Magnus will introduce Diaclone-inspired repaints into the mix. Dude won't be out until August and I've already got my eye on MP G2 Lambor and Exhaust to keep him company, just like the KO Deep Cover and red Mirage keep my vintage Diaclone Powered Convoy cozy.

Figures that have real world models and scaled well in vehicle mode is a bonus. (ie. movieverse and MP)
I keep mine in vehicle mode.
