Yeah, turns out, what was paid at the door was ONLY the brokerage, and these fees were from Canada Customs which "takes up to 30 days to process their fees"

Fuck FedEx...
this^ i got a package with $400 worth of tfs by them once, paid the 20, and a few weeks later a bill for $180 from them came in, never use them unless it's inside the country

OMG I hate UPS!! I got a Saleen spoiler for a mustang on april 26 and paid them COD .
Today I get a notice in the mail for the same amount .
This has gotta be the fourth time they messed up on billing me twice .
One time I had three boxes from one guy and the charged $360.
However it was only to be $120 in total , instead I got charged $120 per box . UPS SUCKS!!!

Re: Experience with FedEx -- Can anyone share?

even if there is a strike called tonight (12:01 am) they have to provide 72 hours flex time before everything comes to a hault. that brings us to weeks end. so hopefully that 72 hours is enough time to get what i'm waiting for as well. should have been here by now however. Reprolabels never takes this long usually.

Re: Experience with FedEx -- Can anyone share?

I just shipped an order from HLJ and was so tempted to use Fedex because it was $15 less than EMS and only a $1 more than SAL. I just went with SAL and will wait. It's weird that as I added items the cost of Fedex shipping when DOWN, not up, and made it look more attractive. Does anyone know if they offer discounts to online stores like that so they can get their rip-off brokerage?

Yeah, it's crappy. I did some work for UPS some years ago. That thing you sign to pay the brokerage fees is actually authorizing them to work on your behalf. They do this as a huge money making scam because it takes very little effort on their part to add these fees in. It's in their interest to make you pay taxes and duties so they can charge you brokerage, even if the package wasn't flagged for taxes by customs. Always use a Canada Post service as they have a flat fee for brokerage when they do collect taxes.

Re: Experience with FedEx -- Can anyone share?

I actually had Fedex ship my package to a different address. I had to use the tracking information to go to that address myself to retrieve my package.

Re: Experience with FedEx -- Can anyone share?

I've only had one experience with FedEx and that one experience is enough to scare me away from using them forever.

Needless to say, getting charged with handling fees up the wazoo is not fun.

Re: Experience with FedEx -- Can anyone share?

Never ever ship with fedex. All my orders from HLJ are shipped with SAL, unless the item's size or weight is over the limit then it will default to EMS.
