MP-36 was a big improvement, even with it's own issues.

Oddly the MP-5G didn't have any of those issues. I'm not sure if there was a change in the metal or not.

For the time yes he was but one thing to note. The Takara releases do not have 0's in them, only the Hasbro releases had them. MP-5, MP-1/4. Example MP-01 is actually Acidstorm. MP-5 isn't the greatest for bot mode and he was rushed but I would say he has the best looking alt mode of any of the Megatron's that came later despite his size.
