The commercials I see on TV are advertising July 3rd. There has been no mention as yet of any July 2nd showing here in Canada.

July 3rd is the actual full day of release, the July 2nd date is for showings only starting at 8pm, not 100% sure if that will extend to Canada.

Even if we don't get the 8pm showing up here, it will be shown at midnight like any other July 4th tentpole movie. They've been doing that for years even for Spidey 3 on Memorial Day and 300 which wasn't even on a US holiday.

Do you know any other theaters that do the early first showings at midnight?.. I've never actually been to any before...
& yes All the sites I check out for BC show july 4th as the opening day DOH! It would indeed be nice if they would do a tuesday showing since thats cheap night

They still do cheap nights on Tuesdays?? All the famous players around here have gotten rid of that deal ages ago. Its $10.95 all day, every day as far as I know.
As for midnight showings, they have had Midnight showings for Spider-Man 3, 300, Star Wars Prequels, Armageddon, Independence and many major tentpole movies in the lower mainland so I'm pretty positive they will do the same thing over here.
