Outrun Collectibles - No longer in business

Has anyone received any communications? I want to continue to support a local business, but I am just concerned that the items may not ultimately show up and I will have to source them elsewhere for a scalper price. I have been waiting for 86 Sludge and Legacy Wildrider and they seem to have come and gone in stores.

This is where I?m coming from too- have sludge and junkheap ordered through them and I?ve missed opportunities to source elsewhere due to everyone assuring me this guy is legit? I mean appreciate supporting a boardie but this is just starting to be frustrating. Look at the last few pages of this thread and I?ve been saying it for quite a while. Want to give the guy the benefit of the doubt but not if I?m gonna get screwed.

FB update from earlier today: Hi all! We’re just checking in to let you know we’re still here and starting to come around from weeks of sickness. We have temporarily closed the online store and retail space as we re-integrate and catch up on shipments and inventory. Thank you for the continued support and patience, please know that your emails have been seen and we will be communicating with you all very soon. Appreciate you all so much!

Looks like this fb post was removed. There were some negative comments although valid with people asking for updates on their orders.

And....I just received an email that Outrun Collectibles is closing. Not a great first experience, but I get the guy has been through alot.

So, I guess they are still shipping orders if they have the stock. Guess I will have to get in touch and see if any of my order will be fulfilled. Or request a refund if it can't.

Got this email back when I applied for a refund.

2. If you would like a cash refund for any of your outstanding orders,
you will be directed to a third party who will be handling the
settlement of any debts. This process will begin at the end of October
and is expected to take at minimum 3-4 weeks before repayment can
begin. Choosing this option is final and cannot be changed at a later
date. This option will become the default choice for your orders at
the end of October to assure that no debts remain unaddressed.

It's a private group, not everyone can see that link.

He's not running off with the money, but making it right for those with outstanding orders.

He sent an email offering to refund everyone, or offer 20% additional credit if you want to buy any of the rest of his inventory once the website is back and running.

I'm pretty saddened to hear the business closing so soon, but health first, money comes and goes, health implications are permanent.
