I would say the MP-01/MP-04 looked more like the original toy with a large trailer. This version has a shorter (in height) trailer. I'm not liking the length of the grill in robot mode but I'll very likely get it.
I do like the re-sculpted head which looks more like the show and the truck mode doesn't have the bad gaps from MP-01.

I really like this, as an improvement and completely re-imagined version of G1 Optimus Prime.
I am just not sure if I like it enough to shell out $250 for it though... Especially since this is coming out in the fall (am I wrong?) and I have TFCon, and Gencon Indianapolis happening two weekends in a row in July/Aug...

Hmmm.
Looks nice, However it's not radically different enough for me to say "WANT".
The biggest thing for me is, I've got my MP-01 on a shelf next to my MP-05 Megatron, and they are both in scale to each other. So a smaller Prime at this point would not work for my purposes.
Plus, the cost is a little steep. I may get him if he ever shows up in North American retail (Perhaps without the trailer), but for now I'll be passing on him.

Looks great. I missed my chance to get the first Masterpiece Prime, so hopefully Hasbro doesn't mind bringing this figure over, perhaps without the trailer like they are going to do with Rodimus in favor of some other little bonus. It also has been a while since they released MP Prime so it would seem appropriate.

IMO, MP-10 would have been FTW (and a neccessary buy) if he came double-packed with an in scale and complete Megatron. Otherwise my MP-04 trumps this release, hands down.

i'd be interested in this if the price was closer to what rodimus was, and even then i like roddy more than prime, so i'd still have a hard time pulling the trigger on it.

I'm kinda confused about one part of this. "Convoy can transformer by one touch" Does anyone know what that means?
Or is it just talking about the axe?

If I had to guess, I would think they were talking about the gun, seeing as how it simply folds for storage.
