I guess they've run out of things to call their series's. We've already had Energon and Cybertron. Heck, we couldn't even get a proper title for the last series. They just called it Transformers: Animated. Ofcourse it's gonna be animated, it's a cartoon! Then again this may just be a working title.

What I'm really excited about is that the Question is gonna play Ratchet! That's fracking awesome! I hope we get a little Question x Huntress action going for Ratchet.

Actually, if this is the first series in the new continuity, its not that bad of a name. As the word "prime" has some meanings as "first".

Hey, that made be think of something. Whenever we are introduced to an alternate reality from the one we're used to, we call the original Prime. For example, the original Star Trek universe is the Prime universe and the new movie's universe is the new one. What if this series is based in the G1 universe?! Transformers: Prime.

Or it could focus more on the Primes like Maximus and Sentinel.

Or it could be about the original 13, the first Primes.

Or it could...nah, forget it.

Whatever, they could call it Transformers: Explosive Diarrhea and I would still watch it.

When have Transformers series titles ever been clever? I mean, in 2001 we had the franchise's slogan as a series title, then Armada which wasn't exactly the height of originality. After that we had a series named after one of the main plot devices/macguffins in the franchise, one named after the Transformer homeworld, and one named after the medium in which it appeared. Transformers: Prime is actually a bit above and beyond what we usually get in Transformers titles as it has the double meaning of being both the name of one of the principal characters and an indicator that this series will be the first installment in a new continuity.

(Well, actually I'm pretty sure WfC is technically the first first installment, but I'm willing to think of it as more of a prologue.)

And think of it: When we refer to the version of Optimus from this series it'll sound like we're introducing James Bond! "The name's Prime Optimus Prime."
