SIKKKIDS Streetwise WIP

Well, since I don't actually have Streetwise yet, I thought I would get started on the accessories. This is the first time I have worked with styrene so any help or suggestions is welcome.

edit... could a mod please fix my awful typing in the title of the thread?
edit... thank you.

This is the mock up before construction.

I built the box to house the electronics. I am starting to not like the look of the four little guns.

Re: SIKKKIDS Stgreetwise WIP

Looking good! My styrene tips,

#1 - Get a metal ruler so you can get nice lines A paper cutter for scrap booking works really well too.

#2 - Super glue sucks ass IMO, I went with Perma Poxy 5 minute Plastic Weld. Its at Walmart and its in a pink and black package, costs aboot $8. I <3 Plastic Weld

#3 - Try and find a Testors razor knife, really cheap and I it has a really nice tip at the end of the blade

Heres a pic of all the tools listed above

Hope that helps

Andrew

Yeah, a metal ruler is on the list for sure. I found some great glue, the Testors model glue holds really well. As for blades I love the industrial straight blades.

Re: SIKKKIDS Streetwise WIP

So, I scrapped the first box and made a second better box, with a button for the LEDs. The batteries cannot be changed, but they are brand new and shold last a long time. I think I'll use a magnet to attach it to the alt mode. Still not sure about the weapon it will be. The twin cannons are the obvious choice, but I was thinking a taser maybe? Would that make Red Alert happy?

Re: SIKKKIDS Streetwise WIP

Being my first scratch build anything it is just a little beyond my skill level at this time. If I find a way to change them I will do it.

Re: SIKKKIDS Streetwise WIP

Ok so I found some suitable wepaons and was even lucky enough to has some more LED's for them too! I'm trying to make it modular, then we can place magnets on the body and have the weapoms clip to the forearms or shoulders. Same with the center piece. I even think I may have a way to make the battery cover removable.

Re: SIKKKIDS Streetwise WIP

Well, I got the magnets in the guns and small flat headed screws for the anchors. Seem to hold up the weapons ok.

Am I on the right track here?
