Re: Adult Lego Fans

At some point, I'm sure Lego will come out with a base game engine and keep releasing expansions for it.

I mean, who doesn't want to play some Star Wars levels using Batman and Captain Jack Sparrow?

Or tour around Hogwarts with Loki, Master Splinter, and Short Round?

Re: Adult Lego Fans

Does anyone out there know how to buy batches of bricks for cheap (that is both quick and easy)?

I'm looking to acquire the European exclusive sets for Exo-Force without having to dish out massive coin just to have the physical instructions, on top of that some weren't physically released.

Looking for some way to buy all the bricks in one shot instead of parts here and there, to cut on shipping.

Re: Adult Lego Fans

You have many options. Like ordering the individual peices off Bricklink. Or buying loose bulk Lego from a person like me. But with that said, buying bulk, your not guaranteed to get the parts you need.

With bricklink, I seem to recall you can make a list of all your "wanted" bricks, and then using the search function you can find the store that has the greatest number of bricks you're looking for (like they'll be offering for sale 121 of the 172 bricks you need), you can place your order there, then once you receive it, knock those off your wanted list and repeat until you have all the parts you need...

Re: Adult Lego Fans

I still can't take that Ironman with the flip up visor seriously. He looks so much like a 7 year old in an Ironman costume walking on cans. Lego should just have opted for two heads to be swapped instead.

Anyways, I've tried Bricklink but I haven't found a way to match my complete list to stores. I can go the other way and match what individual stores are selling from my want list.

I just don't want to spend like $10 to $15 in shipping for like $5 in parts, only to have to spend another $10 to $15 in shipping for a couple more $0.70 parts after that.

You can try pick a brick from the online lego shop...

Well, if it comes to that then it comes to that.

Holding off until I can find some concrete evidence of set 3887 Error Entry's parts list existing or not.

In the meantime, contacted a BrickLink store in Guelph, seeing if they'll track down the few bricks they don't have from my list. They offer local pick-up so that cuts out the shipping cost.

edit:

Once I build the entire Exo-Force series at the same time, I'll share some pics in here. I still can't believe how massive some sets are, the Mobile Devastator is as big as my dog.
