Re: New 2010 Transformers Video Game: War for Cybertron
Scientifically speaking, that makes a certain amount of sense, even if the cartoon fact of having humans run around on Cybertron with a perfectly breathable atmosphere always seemed... unlikely to me.
Also, in the G1 Marvel continuity, water, or at least water with the same properties as found on Earth, is unknown on Cybertron. Hence the "surprise" when plain old water turns out to be the cure for Scraplets infestation.
Admittedly, that was a pretty lame twist too (and it was STILL lame when Shymalan used it in SIGNS!), and is hardly consistent with other things that have happened in the comics. In Marvel TF #1, Bumblebee immediately comments on how much he enjoys swimming, though that could be a simple terminology failure... substituting "water" for whatever common liquids are available on Cybertron.
I would just assume that precipitation on Cybertron would probably have a chemical composition different than it would on Earth.

Re: New 2010 Transformers Video Game: War for Cybertron
Well, since hydrogen's one of the most common elements out there, and is probably widely used on Cybertron, I don't find it that far of a stretch for it to exist on the planet.
And if there's fire, there's oxygen. So the building blocks of water exist.
Now since fires don't spread insanely through the air, I'd say there are some other elements in the atmosphere, probably a great deal of nitrogen. Probably a decent amount of carbon, as well as some heavier elements like metals.
Anyways, water's just so damned common that I would find it hard to believe there was never any on Cybertron. But then I didn't think there was enough for rain. But then I never really though of Cybertron having a dense enough atmosphere to have much weather.

Re: New 2010 Transformers Video Game: War for Cybertron
Two more transmissions posted.
First, another still:
The second was another brief video clip. Here's a shot from the beginning of it:
The camera pans downward and the robot in the lower right twitches and sparks while pieces fall off of him, obviously the victim of a recent Decepticon attack.
EDIT: There've also been some updates on GameInformer's countdown page. An interview with the game's art designers concerning the look of Cybertron and a concept art gallery.

Starscream!
Still not liking the altmode that much, but the robot mode makes up for it. Here's hoping that he gets released in toy-form.

The alt mode is definitely different, but I don't actually mind it.
More please!

Mmmm.... I kinda wish they would put the cockpit closer to the middle in alt mode. Thinner legs in bot mode would look better IMO.

the conception of the way the characters look is pretty unique considering the mix of art desings from different generations including animated, timelines, and movie style

Re: New 2010 Transformers Video Game: War for Cybertron
Okay, my original idea of transformation scheme for Starscream was pretty far off.
Its somewhat looking more like a cross between a VF-1 and G1 seekers, then highly stylized.
I could actually see Jetfire / Skyfire being a seeker in this style, though an advanced seeker with slightly different wings, minus the conehead.
