MP Meg's Chrome Wear? - Cybertron.CA - Canadian Transformers News and Discussion

I've had my MP meg's for about a year now, and havn't handled it other than to place on display(havn't even transformed it). I was checkin it out the other day and noticed the chrome on the feet is in bad shape, looks like 20yr old chrome(worn/faded)

. Im not sure why that happened but just was curious if other people have noticed this as well....

BTW, it was on display out of sunlight too.

Yeah - MP Megs suffers from Cosmic Rust.

I think it can be rubbed off though.

all MP Megs has this problem. you can get a brass cleaner to remove the "cosmic rust"

just check mine and sadly it's coming back. but it doesn't look as bad if you didn't use the cleaner.

there was a thread about this awhile back and they suggested using some sort of clear coat. so i actually used some clear nail polish and it more or less worked.

yup I have the same problem... going to take mine off and chrome spray it.

Well thanks for the info, still sux lol. Do all MP's suffer the 'cosmic rust' on the chrome parts? I don't have MP magnus but was thinkin of buying him& have hasbro MP prime so no chrome..
