Re: Fanstoys Soar

Does anyone have the Bullsfire version of Swoop to compare. The figure looks great but is smaller than Soar. I'm on the fence between the two.

Best thing to do is watch the video review of BF Swoop and Soar.

This video has side by side comparison of both.

Re: Fanstoys Soar

Received Soar (Swoop) from Ages Three and Up last Friday. Didn't have time to look it over much or transform him over the weekend. It does however has same problems others have mentioned about tight joints and the gold clips on the knees feeling cheap (should have been diecast).
Overall i am impressed and he stand up well next to Scoria. Dinobots Rule!!!

I don't see Bullsfire finishing the Dinobots; heck, I don't even see them doing a 2nd Dinobot. They probably lost tons of money with this one.

Re: Fanstoys Soar

Finally opened up my Soar from Tony yesterday.

I really like the look of it, to me it is what I remember when I was a kid watching the cartoon.

I really wish they made the gold tabs on the legs diecast. I've seen so many posts of people breaking them. Honestly what kind of design decision was that? 2 seconds with the figure and it should be obvious.

Like laffy and others I had problems rotating the upper black knee part. In the couple reviews I watched, the reviewer didnt seem to have any issues rotating it. I spent 30 minutes pushing and pulling, I was about to give up when I noticed that I did indeed manage to move 1 knee one notch, then I was able to bend it the rest of the way. The other knee I loosened the screw and it seem to work. Once I bent the knee the rest of the way I re-tightened the screw...

Is anyone able to bend the black knee parts without any problems? I'm glad that I didnt need to actually "fix" the figure to do it, as I plan on leaving him in dino mode for display.

thanks again laffy for your posts

Mine and my brother's Soar were fine bending the black knee part. It's all about leverage on the first time. The rest of the times are simple now.

Yup agree the gold tabs are a design fail. But still an awesome figure. I've promoted him to my top figure position.
