Re: Biggest letdown of the year

No way is mp01 trash. You're the only person I have ever heard of say that. Mp05 megatron couldn't be more complete shit but mp01 is amazing. All that die cast. Sheer size of him and a very cool transformation.

I must like him I think I have 6 versions of mp01 lol Maybe more with doubles.

Nope tracks ironhide etc are waaay to small to be in scale with mp01 and mp05. They are huge.

He sure looks good on the shelf but sadly he will likely never leave the display shelf... anyone else think the same I surly can't be thinking this myself?

I just played with MP Tracks and he is fun and is definitely a MP transformer. If Tracks is the biggest letdown for you this year in a transformer, I'm curious what was the high point for you this year in transformers.

MP01 is the milestone on transformers toy history, and even put the history aside, he is a good chogokin toy, while most of the transformers are not even close to that standard.

Re: Biggest letdown of the year

MP-01 is still a fantastic toy with working suspension, wrist communicators, light-up matrix, moving faceplate and an outrageous amount die-cast.

Re: Biggest letdown of the year

I love MP-01, and he looks great posed in battle with MP-05 Megatron.

(and yes, I also have MP-10 vs Apollyon on my main MP shelves)

Re: Biggest letdown of the year

Got mine yesterday. Nice alt mode, but the robot mode is lacking. Doesn't feel as sturdy or well-engineered as the other MPs.

Re: Biggest letdown of the year

Just got my Tracks today, and on my version, everything tabs in pretty tight. I can grip the figure by the backpack and shake vigorously and it doesn't fall apart. I can grip it by the sides and squeeze and nothing pops out of place.

The only flaw for me is the notorious gap. *shrug*

Re: Biggest letdown of the year

He did seem a lil hollow in the shoulders and another elbow joint wouldn't hurt. But overall I like him, nice to finally have another mold to play with. A the slight height difference is nice too

This is the reason why I said it is a letdown, but not the biggest right now after I seen those Ironhide's photos... those empty space/gap that you can see from the side kills the figure......

But it's not like robots should be hiding a digestive system or anything...
