Dark of the Moon figures
So Dark of the Moon is just around the bend, and news has been coming in for a while now, and I think there is a lot of speculation that can be done about the figures coming soon.
First off, considering ROTF Prime is probably as good as a Prime figure they can possibly make, I'm pretty sure the reason he has a trailer in the third movie is so that they can make a new figure out of it. This way we can still be suckered in. They know they can't improve ROTF prime as much as they did from movie 1 prime, so they threw in a trailer. Will that work on you?
So would you buy a slight retool of ROTF Prime if they gave him an awesome trailer?
Also, word is they've made some slight mod's to bumblebee to make him more "mature". I'm imagining 6 new molds of him to take this change into account.
What I'm really curious about is how they are going to manage the new sideswipe figure. Now that they've made him a convertible, it means he has a lot less interior to hide away robot parts. Pulling that off would have to be really impressive.

Re: Dark of the Moon figures
I thought that the trailer may provide some power-up option a' la unicron trilogy, so I'm hoping for a whole new voyager size mold with a trailer that turns into armor.
That being said, if they released the Buster Prime version with a trailer, I may be very interested.

See, leaders just can't let go of power once hey have it...he probably has a trailer so he can power up whenever he wants without Jetfire's parts

Re: Dark of the Moon figures
His trailer holds his lunchboxs. He's gonna try to compete with Fatimus Prime from Energon.

Re: Dark of the Moon figures
Pretty sure we'll see an all-new Prime mold. Some areas can still be improved like how the swords are integrated (if he still uses them - I hope not so they can get rid of them), the overall sleekness (Ã* la Voyager Battle Blades Prime), etc. To have the flagship figure unchanged would be suicidal. At worst it could be a heavy retooling but I don't see that happening. The Mechalive gimmick will be gone so we'll see something new.
