Well said indeed.

The social aspect is what gets me to make the trip an annual thing.

J/K, I couldn't have said it better myself, even though I still spent a lot, first and foremost I enjoy the old friends and meeting new people.

Re: TFCon 2013 and my paradigm shift

I'm not going to lie and pretend that I don't love to buy toys, but in all honesty, if all I wanted to do was buy toys, I could sit home and buy them on the internet.

Instead of paying for shipping, I pay for a ticket to Toronto so I can hang out with friends I see year after year, meet some voice actors, take part in some activities, drink some robot-themed boat drinks and, last but not least, get awesome new toys while in the presence of people who actually know what they are and know why I'm squealing like an idiot because I finally have one. It's hard to put a price on that.

Re: TFCon 2013 and my paradigm shift

Question... does anyone else get that pit in their stomach when they go to leave?

Every year, I get so sad when I'm driving away.. knowing that I have to wait another year.
