Decisions decisions....I dunno they all have something special about them, but if I had to pick one I've always had a soft spot for RiD Magnus. Overall a great figure with few weaknesses. I like to think of him as my modernized G1 Ultra Magnus as his actual character from RiD wasn't that interesting.

Well it all started when I was a kid growing up and constantly renting the 86 movie from the local Rogers video. I also watched the G1 episodes that would air on TV from time to time and even back then I could tell Ultra Magnus was the one really wearing the pants when it came to leading the Autobots.
He may not have been my favourite character initially, I didn't really have one, kinda liked them all. But once I hit my adult life and looked back with a more analytical eye I noticed that Ultra Magnus and I had similar qualities I had come to admire...he knew his responsibilities and prioritized accordingly...he knew how to lead but didn't want the title...a firm sense of duty and honour.
Over the years his other namesakes have varied personality wise nicely from generation to generation. In RiD he was a hot head that wanted to lead, in Animated he was the definitive leader of the Autobots, willing to do what ever it took to succeed (the ends justified the means)....and I've been able to sympathize and see a little bit of my own evolving personality and qualities in each one while I was growing up.
Pretty much grew to like him because we saw eye to eye.
That and I like the colour blue....we have colour eyes :P
