Animated Soundblaster (cause you know someone is going to do it)
I just opened up Soundwave and he is just screaming to be repainted. I'm going out hunting for a spare later today, but have some preliminary ideas for you to comment on.
Picture the yellow orange as more of a gold (I suck at photoshop) -- also I think I would keep Buzzsaw in the yellow orange colour (and Soundwave's eyes as well). My dilemma is do I go with gold trim or red trim. I like the red as it incorporates some of the G1 into it. I also like the look of the gold. I'm just afraid of it having too much gold in the end.
What do you guys think?

Looks cool... similar to G1. I wonder if the actual one will look as good.

I think it's too bad I don't care for the Soundblaster character because your version looks awesome.

i am also doing this exact repaint too at the moment.personally ive always loved soundblasters color combo better than soundwaves mostly because its darker.i would say stick to red for "all" of his trim yet stay gold for the cassette door.just remember to do the 2 stripes on the sides of the cassette door.(btw, tru 32nd ave ne has a few soundwaves if youre willing to drive.)

I like the red doors better than the orange, but (and this may be because its a digicolour) the red seems to stand out almost too much. Maybe try a darker shade? Although with a bit of shading, you could make it look like the red around the speakers is that neon/LED wire stuff some cars have.

Re: Animated Soundblaster (cause you know someone is going to do it)
Soundblaster and friends fresh out of the dye bath. I could not for the life of me get the pin out of the clear part of the cassette door, so I will have to come up with a plan B to colour it properly.
A happy accident happened as well, the original light blue paint scheme has sort of a "nemesis" look to it. I'm going to see what it looks like together. I might just go with it if it looks ok. Sorry for the bad pic.
On an unrelated note... does anyone have a spare Armada Minicon Overrun (came with Supercon Optimus Prime) lying around?

You very well could be on the right track.
I'm expanding my minicon search to Astroscope ( http://www.cobraislandtoys.com/tf/20...m-energon.html) as well. Either one would work.
