Which Combiner is the most Powerful

For the purposes of this thread, I am interested in what each of you think, based on what was seen in the comics or on the cartoon, or written on the tech specs, which Generation One combiner is the strongest?

For additional purposes, restrict all answers to JUST characters seen on the US Cartoon seasons 1-4 or in the G1 comics from Dreamwave or Marvel.

If you'd like to offer up something like "I think Superion is the strongest because of...., BUT even though we never him in the show or comics I think so and so is because..."

Please give reasons so we can each see why everyone thinks the way they do.

I'll start:

For the Decepticons I think the most powerful is Devastator, possibly only bettered by Predaking.

My reasoning is that Devastator is widely considered one of the most dangerous and his tech specs list him as strength of 10 and firepower of 8 and an endurance of 9.

While he was the first combiner and not the smartest this tends to be his weakness.

Predaking however has a strength of 10, a firepower of 9 and an endurance of 8, but his specs also say he has no known weaknesses.

The cartoons are fairly inconsistent and show the combiners being beaten in a variety of easy ways to downright silly ones.

The other combiners, Menasor, Bruticus just don't seem to be as powerful.

As for the Autobots I think the most powerful one is Superion, he's strong, has great firepower, and he's got the fastest speed score of any combiner.

What do you guys think?

I can't say for the Autobots but ultimately I say Predaking

Beyond the tech specs and that cartoon "biography" we he can lift 500 tons without straining a circut and the no known weaknesses, IIRC he doesn't suffer from the multiple personalities of his components fighting for any control. He has a single minded purpose, a better mental cohesion and the best look.

I would like to think it's Devastator because A) he's made of 6 robots, not just 5 (or 4, like RID Landfill, or 3, like Railracer or Road Caesar) and B) technically, vehicles are much bigger than animals. Would Liokaiser be a contender too?

I will go with predaking. Although he's dumber than a bag of rocks and can barely put 4 words together, his sheer strength makes him overpowering. I think his size and girth dwarfs all the other combiners although thats toy vs toon.

Computron could potentially outsmart the more powerful combiners now that I think about it

No, the character can only have been in Dreamwave comics, Marvel comics, or the G1 US cartoons. You can use tech specs to compare.

It's a good debate. Purely on stats it's Liokaiser. But since he's not eligible...

Having only watch the G1 cartoon and not much interest in the comics, if memory servers, they were all about the same strength and weaknesses. I would go with Predaking becuz he looks stronger

Piranacon would be excluded as well, I don't recall seeing him in the Marvel comics, someone correct me if I'm wrong please.

Edit* I should add, most powerful should include Firepower, Strength, Endurance, and speed as those all factor into overall power.

The Seacons were in the Marvel comics, but I don't think they merged.

Addendum: I checked the "Classics" comics... The Seacons appeared in issue #47, but did not merge. They merged in issue #49.
