He looks the way Jazz should look like, and transforms the way Jazz should transform. It would be nice if he was a porsche, but it's still a sports car of some sort. He's a mainstay on my G1 shelf.

This is a great figure, I'd say go for it.

Definitely good figures. The first Generations/RTS/United lines were all great. Larger size, intelligent transformation, good plastic quality and solid built.

The new ones we get now are small, dumb, lazy and cheap.

Re: Thoughts on Special op Jazz

if G1 ark cast is what you are going for then I would say nothing wrong with it other than he has wings and Jazz in the G1 cartoon had no wings but jazz the G1 toy did so it is up to you, that being said I personally like Jazz with no wings. Also Igear Not-Ironhide/Ratchet are pretty good figures they just were not my cup of tea as I have traded them in hopes of official cartoon accurate ones

Re: Thoughts on Special op Jazz

It's a great toy. One of the best deluxes to come along in a while, and IMHO the best Jazz we have right now.

BUT

It's not a masterpiece, and I don't think it will scale well with the masterpiece cars. I think if you want a stand in go for the alternators Jazz. If you can get the reprolables for it, it'll look pretty sweet.

On a side note, thanks for posting this pic... I always thought the Igear Specialists were a little taller... Guess I'll wait for official (though there is no guarantee they will be taller )
