Wow, that sucks. I don't believe that the shooting was sale related, but the Wal Mart thing is sad. Me thinks Wal-Mart and other stores) will have to change their morning entry in the future...

It is really sad that one person had to die because people wanted a good deal...I hope the Douche bags are happy with their purchases...

I really hope the individuals in that mob feel guilt. Because each one of them is responsible.

So sad! My heart goes out to the family of the worker who was killed. No one should have to die at work, especially not in retail.

To quote myself:

FUCKING...

Seriously, how much of an asshole do you have to be just to step on someone, much less trample -and kill- him?

"DURR I CAAN SAYVE $3 AWN WALL-E, SO THIS BITCH IS GETTING STEPPED AWN"

Fuck.

Awful news, I can't believe people could be whipped into such a frenzy over saving a few bucks. What a way to kick off a season that promotes peace and goodwill. Happy holidays jack-asses.

That should be the store managers job to open the doors that day(with police present), not a part timers job.
If WM upper management were to unlock the doors they'd have made sure this wouldn't happen, sad.

Re: People Killed in the States on Black Friday

That really suck. It's a very sad event. I had never really understood why people went so crazy in that kind of big deal days. The "crowd effect" make people crazier because everybody wants to be the first. On a very smaller scale our boxing day bring that kind of craziness: people glued at the door waiting to enter and thinking all in store will be on sale and then when the doors open, they literaly run to the item they want as if their life are in danger. Luckily, it's not big enough to bring events like those mentioned. Sometimes, working at retail can be dangerous, but seriously, the employees are often "punching bags" for the costumers.

I doN't know for the States but here ( according to my own experience in Zellers), it's generally someone from the management who hold the keys, but the employees, full or part timer, are there as the first line of defence. But I agree with you on the fact that the management team is responsible of the safety of the employees and if they are in a area where that kind of frenzy have great probabilities to happen, they must hire some security agents to ensure safety of both employees and costumers.

The Walmart story is sad. The mob behavior is disgusting to say the least - having a person killed just for some discounted wares.

That is fucking SICK! I hate humanity sometimes. Black Friday is a scar on any hope I had left of the human race.
Are you all decent people? Yeah, most likely, those of you who I have personally met are awesome! But humanity as a whole disgusts me...
