Just watched the Barbie film, it was smart writing and entertaining.
Hasbro needs to make their Transformers films like an event...not like a regular episode which is what Beast Wars live action felt like.

There was a bit said about the director, human protagonists, writers, composer etc all being racialized, but I was surprised the actual anti-racism/diversity themes didn't get more discussion. "Hermano" was just the tip of the iceberg.

It can work only once. They did in 2007. Barbie was the first Barbie movie. Sequel will never be as big and popular.

It's not so much that it's a sequel, it's that it's a sequel to a string of infamously bad movies and even the positive reviews for it were never much more than "It's not quite as bad as the earlier ones!"
If Hasbro wants the Transformers movies to be successful, they need to make some that are actually, you know, good.

To be fair, this is better than I thought. I didn't have much hope in the first place, but after watching it, I think it's not bad.
In my mind, from best to worst
movie1 > BBB >= RiseOfTheBest > movie2 = movie3 = movie4 >> movie 5

Will do it here too, here's the photo of the Hasbro booth at FanExpo.
Doesn't the company have a film they produced, was released in theatres and just hit digital recently to promote, maybe even mention it somewhere at an event they paid to be at where tons of people will by walking by...isnt' that the purpose of advertising?!?

I wonder if the Fan Expo thing is a licensing issue.
Maybe Hasbro doesn't have the full rights to run promotions about ROTB without Paramount et al?
