Predators
I just wanted to say that this movie rocked. Go see it.
I never would have thunk that Adrien Brody could be an action star..............
It's bloody brilliant.

Re: Predators
Agreed. It gave some good nods to the first Predator, and turned out to be a pretty damn good movie.
my 2nd surprisingly good movie of the summer. (A-Team was the 1st)

Re: Predators
oh pllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllleeeeeaaazeee
It was very good for a Predator movie.
Very very good.
But it can't stand up against the classic films of Hollywood. Like M. Night Shyamalan's The Happening.

Re: Predators
Liked it. Mainly because it finally felt like a Predator movie. I like the AVP movies, but the "humans" really just got in the way of the real fight between the Aliens and Preds. It really felt just like the first time I watched the original. I guess the arguemnt here is whether it was just nods to the original or a complete rehash. Either way it works.
What I did like was Adrien Brody. Serious as his character was he never took it to seriously as an actor. Which I loved. He knew exactly what kind of movie he was in, and didn't try to act anywhere outside of it. A times it did feel like he was lampooning his character, but it never felt our of place.
I don't think its fair to say these are big surprises, I never doubted that ATeam and Predators were gonna be good. A Team was fronted by Joe Carnahan, and this one was directed by Nimrod Antal (Vacancy) and produced by Robert Rodriguez. I think that makes for an excellent combination of two people that know their art form very well. And that mix of Pulp, Grindhouse, Claustrophobia and Action is exactly what Predotors is about. I walked into both with high expectations and walked out very happy.

Re: Predators
I think generally the people that didn't like it want it to be something its not.

Re: Predators
What I'd like to know for once is what they were looking for instead of just having them complain about what they considered wrongs.
