TFCon 2011 Exclusive Suggestions
Now that bits of BotCon's exclusives has been revealed...how are we Canadians going to respond? (Other than the ones with $$$ to go and buy them, of course)
What kind of exclusive can/will we have to rival them? Suggestions?
Other than the podcast suggestion of the "Zoolander" Sideswipe 4-pack, there's gotta be some awesome repaints or some mass produced unique item or figure. Though I'm sure a few people will still buy it.
I'd like to believe that we've gotten a few awesome exclusives thus far.
My first few suggestions are:
-Canadian paint job on a good figure (red and white)?
-cool new packaging on a couple/few of figures? To make a new multi-pack.
-a unique comic? Any series with a seperate sel-contained story that take place in Canada. Hopefully it's not a regular sized comic, but along the lines of Dreamwave's MTMTE sized.
-a collectible card set. Cards can be of various TFs (in any incarnation) and Cybertronian locales, since there's so many artists (both pro and regular joes), a select few (or more) can draw various TFs in disguise or action at various Canadian landmarks, funny poses, existing fanart, etc. Make like 2000 sets, and 10 or 25 will contain a "joker" card that can redeem a prize at TFCon. The joker card can be as obvious as a photo of TFCon staff making funny faces to Wheelie holding the Matrix to a picture of a bunch of broken TFs on the floor to Megatron's face on our loonie. The card set can be 20 to 100, depending on cost. A reason price of $20 to $25 should be affordable for everyone.
Everyone seems to go gaga over BotCon's exclusive, why can't we make the world do the same for ours?
What suggestions do you have?

Re: TFCon 2011 Exclusive Suggestions
well im sure suggestions can prob be considered for next years con. being this years is only a few months away im sure they already have this years set up because im sure it takes time to get whatever company the exclusive is from to make a deal and etc etc etc.
it would be nice to get a "set" like they do at botcon. more then 1 figure, not nessessarily a set set ala stunticons. though i wouldnt be against that either
i just really hope this years goes back to epic win like the fansproject stuff we had and not the complete shit that was last years nightbird.....
oh ya.
anyone want to buy 2 tfcon exclusive nightbird figures?
brand new sealed in their packages.!!
no one? really.? cant blame you...

Re: TFCon 2011 Exclusive Suggestions
Unless they can manage to get Hasbro to create something I don't think they should bother. I really doesn't seem to be worth the effort seeing how poorly they are received.

Re: TFCon 2011 Exclusive Suggestions
i want the nightbird solely because its a souvenir that i didnt pick up that year. i know the toy itself is crummy, but yeah.
anyways, i'll be getting the thing whatever it is this year, but of course i hope its something cool. i think with the likes of gmfan and protoman et al on the team something cool will happen.

I thought about that as well. Considering how early the date was released. Besides, I know those guys are smart cookies
I was getting that "[BotCon] this, [BotCon] that, all I ever here about is how great [BotCon] is..." feeling, and I wanted to shake the tree and get some attention to our Con.

Re: TFCon 2011 Exclusive Suggestions
Keep on doing more stuff like Nightbird, it's an easy pass, my wallet likey.
The Powered commander was one hell of an exclusive. If I was creative enough to come up with an awesome color scheme for the FP Rodimus upgrade I'd suggest that.
A Warbot Defender done up like a Candian Forces Cormarant or somthing along those lines would be pretty cool.
An exclusive accessory pack might be a neat idea, we have the hugely talented Venksta, maybe he could make up some of those guitars for blaster we saw pics of, or snowshoes, or even just some BFG's.

Those are good ideas.
Re-colored Sidearms in a special 5-pack packaging? That do-able?
