Signature is so tiny.

Hi I have my sig set up as 214x500 and its 69KB in size. but it comes up as this tiny lil purple blerb under the text. How do i fix this? This is it when in a thread as a img file:

Upload the image on a site like Tinypic.com and copy and paste the IMG url that it spits out into your edit signature parameter.

I do have the pic on photobucket and copied the direct url in the proper box.
