I can't quite make out Omega Supreme's price. Does it say $39.99?

I've enjoyed the movie-inspired G1 reissues so far. It's very cool to see G1 Hound at retail again after 39 years (maybe a bit less since he was probably available in 1985 as well).

I'll be the only negative nelly.

To me these look like the dollar store ko seekers from 7 or 8 years ago. I get they are trying to mimic cartoon colors, but I just can't get excited.

I did like the 2018 reissues a lot

Here is my Canadian Motormaster box from Canadian Tire just to add to the price conversation - $15.99 regular, $12.99 sale. Parents would have bought me this in 1985.

Does $15.99 translate to $48 today. I dunno. Online inflation calcultor says $39 something.

Hmm, might be a one off, as mine does not have any issues.

They're all like that, you probably just didn't notice. I went through 3 different ones, all the same, and video reviews show the same issue without necessarily talking about it. It's not really noticeable if you place the robot on a flat surface and adjust the feet so they're perfectly parallel, but lift it in front of you and you'll see. Feet shouldn't be touching each other.

Re: Thoughts on new Retro G1 releases?

I'm a big fan of G1, so usually jump at reissues when they do show up. The prices suck, but have managed to pick up Starscream & thundercracker, because I find they look like the best colorings we will ever get of these characters. Managed to get Hound online for $36. Have passed on Hot Rod for now, as instore he is still $47, but online he is at the cheaper price, but just sold out.

Precenptor and Shrapnel are next. More than likely pass on those ones, as I think the "commerative book ones" are better versions.

Reissues need windows in the packaging.

Re: Thoughts on new Retro G1 releases?

I've picked up Hot Rod, Starscream and Hound so far, I really dig the packaging on these. I agree the packaging is super flimsy and really hard to find mint ones, but so far I've managed.

I havnt found Thundercracker yet.

I hope they do more.
