Unicron Toy Figure - Armada VS 25th anniversary VS Platinum Edition

Guys,

Wondering if anyone can let me know if there are significant differences in the 3 versions of the Unicron figure besides the look. And to those of you that have the Armada OR 25th anniversary OR the Platinum edition Unicron figure:

1) Any problems/dislikes with the figure?
2) If you have multiple versions, which one do you like the most and why?

Many thanks!

Re: Unicron Toy Figure - Armada VS 25th anniversary VS Platinum Edition

I've got an Armada open, displayed, and sometimes transformed, and a 25th anniversary sealed in a beautiful box, because it is just so nice to look at. And at the point when I got the 25th anniversary, I knew what the toy did, so I didn't need to open it and play with it.
The differences are the head, and the paint job. The chest cannon on my Armada figure has lost its gear and springiness after a while. So it doesn't open nicely and fire, it just flies open and fires.

I'd be willing to part with the 25th anniversary edition for the right person and the right price.

I've had them all and prefer the platinum to all the other ones. Best colours IMO

If you are looking for something to fit a G1 collection, the Platinum or 25th are much better than the Armada one given the redone headsculpt (plus painting/molding the parts solid instead of transparent). I had the 25th and liked it a lot, but sold it to be replaced by the new WFC/Haslab one...

If I had gone in on the Haslab I might have sold the Platinum one. Instead I decided to sell the 25th Ann, keep the Platinum in planet mode and bought the notzetastdiocellacron or whatever the blasted thing's name is

I had both the Takara and Amazon 25th anniversary ones, and sold the Takara one pretty quickly after having both.

Yeah, the Takara one's colours, some would say are more accurate with grey than blue that Hasbro likes, but the planet mode shells really needed the silver "islands" the Takara one skipped.

Thanks guys! Might opt-in for the 25th anniversary version. I'll probably keep my armada version as well (got a bunch of armada minicons so might as well use that one to keep in planet mode to fit the minicons around it! lol)

So far I think 25th and the black version are the best.
