You don't have to pay the full amount right away, that's already something.

Their partsforming aspect makes their combiners better than what's on the market.

Above all I collect combiners and I cannot be happier with theirs. If Unicron partsforms but fixes Hasbro's legs I'm in. Heck I'm in really on price

I could back it, but it would be the single most reckless thing I would've ever done. Definitely more reckless than using the pull out method really Haha....

You'd get absolutely murdered by shipping. Robotkingdom is notorious for their shipping prices.

Yeah, an MP figure like Starsaber was about $52 USD to ship. Unicron would definitely be close to $150-$200 USD to ship from Robot Kingdom.

LMAO, yes, thank you! Someone finally said it. I agree with you a million percent. Its funny because its true. This monstrosity has only been proposed for 1 reason- to test just how far corporate greed can be pushed before reasonable people say enough is enough. Yep, you hit the nail right on the head. To each their own, but I can't come close to seeing the value proposition here.

Unfortunately, a lot more people are more willing to pay whatever to get what they wanted mainly because of more deep pocket mature collectors and more people from emerging markets such as China who are willing to spend. They all go for the limited edition, top dollars, high margin paradigm. These are not kids’ toys. Hot Toys, Sentinel, King Arts, Fans Toys, Flame Toys, 3A, Bandai, ... gets it, now TakaraTomy and Hasbro want a piece of the action.

And these kind of crowd-fundings, prepaid limited edition preorders will be become more popular because companies can guage the demands easily, and they can control cost & profit better this way. Why flood the market with stuffs that will go on clearances? No, it won’t be for everything but certainly it will become more popular.
