3D printing services for broken parts

Hey Guys,

One of the tabs on my transformers snapped. Messaging resellers and maketoys seems to have fallen short. Is there anyone around the GTA, ideally Markham, but I don't mind meeting anywhere around the GTA, that has experience with CAD and can copy my part? It would be nice if you had a 3D printer too, but if not, I can take the CAD file and print it somewhere else.

I think malwave from the boards has significant CAD experience...try messaging him?

I think your limitations will be the materials, which depending on the stresses on the part etc., might not be strong enough to replace the original.

Most 3d printed materials leave a lot to be desired compared to original parts.

Thanks for the offer chroma23; I PM'd you. I would love to learn something like this because a skill like this could come in very handy, but just never got a chance to get into it.
