I usually only preorder when I have the funds to pay and pay up front. In terms of service, NY has been decent to me. Bought a LOT of stuff from them too.

After seeing this post, I just tried with my NY account by cancelling the UW04 Devastator.
I haven't paid yet, so I opened a ticket on the website asking politely cancel my pre-order. And in less than 10 minutes, I got the reply that it was cancelled.

I'm impressed by this custom services.

I decided to test the waters too. Requested to cancel a preorder for a Star Wars figure. Cancelled it right away. I have about 10 transactions with them though. YMMV.

Based on google, NY's CAD price seems to be 4% higher than their Yen Price, but banks usually charge a fee (2.5% usually) and higher exchange rate anyway.

With Paypal, their exchange rate is usually pretty high. However, you can choose to charge the original currency to your credit card.

I use Amazon Chase visa, which has reason rate and do not charge a 2.5% fee on top.

I am considering order MP22 from NY since their shipping with Economic Registered is cheaper than EMS. AE can only do EMS or air.

The real question is whether CAD will continue to tank going forward.
